Viber – Nowadays, everybody would prefer FREE stuff rather than paying. Viber, an app or application for iPhone® and Android™ phones, makes it possible for you to communicate with your loved-ones and friends through their FREE (100%) phone calls and SMS or text messages.

Like other apps for Android and iPhones, Viber requires Internet connection through GPRS or Wifi to work. Also, you will only be able to make FREE phone calls and text messages to those who has installed the application.

So, if you are a non-iPhone or Android phone user, unfortunately, this free calls and SMS service through Viber is not applicable for you yet. They are working on making it available for Blackberry soon though! That is something Blackberry users should look forward as well.

Viber was originally an app for iPhone and then they created the Beta version of it for Android. Just these past few days, they have made it available for Android users too! Viber app is seamlessly integrated with your existing phone book. It also automatically tell you if a contact is already a registered viber user. Otherwise, you will have to invite your friend or contact.
